Ant Issues?

Has your home been invaded by little little black ants? Mine has and I know how difficult it’s to find a pest control product that works for them. I mean these little men are stubborn. You spray them they return. You squash them they come back. You scrub every inch of this area they’re in and they just keep coming back.

Ant, Insect, Animal, WildlifeWhat are these?

They are Argentine ants. Coffee ships from Brazil attracted them here in the 1890’s and they enjoyed it so they remained. Now they’re a pest management nightmare. These small tiny black ants terrorize the other insects. They can beat up even wasps out by numbering them and wreak havoc on all the other rodents around interrupting the natural eco system in a place.

Why are they in my residence?

They’re shopping for meals and your house is the best grocery store in town. These ants are also referred to as sugar bees for a reason, they love candies. The good news is that they don’t really like to live inside of your dwelling. They just come in on a regular basis. Similar to a teenaged boy they’ll wander throughout your home and eat everything in site then scamper out again without even doing the dishes. The bad news is they really are a pest control issue.

Argentine ants do not reside in a single colony like fire ants do so getting rid of them isn’t quite as straightforward as killing a single queen. These ants frequently have several queens with satellite planters spread out over a massive area. As a matter of fact that there are usually so many of them that these tiny ants can overwhelm an adult bird to kill and then eat its young.

How do I get rid of those very small terrors?

Insecticide sprays don’t function as you already know. Really the only way to eliminate these pests is by the use of a Critter Control bait specially made for them. They will then take the bait back to their many queens and eventually kill the colony.
